Welcome to Surrey Vehicle Hire Services. These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your use of our website carhiresurrey.co.uk and our vehicle rental services. By using our services

1. Surrey Rental

All vehicle rentals arranged through Surrey are governed by a detailed Rental Agreement issued with your booking confirmation or when you collect the vehicle. That agreement sets out the specific terms, conditions, insurance cover, fees, and your obligations for the particular hire. If any provision of these Terms conflicts with the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will take precedence for that booking.

2. Surrey Eligibility

To rent a vehicle from Surrey, you must:

Be at least 21 years old when renting in Surrey (age restrictions may vary by vehicle type, with additional charges possible for drivers under 25). Hold a valid, full driving licence appropriate for the vehicle category, held for the minimum period specified in the Surrey Rental Agreement. Provide valid identification and proof of address, together with any additional documentation required by the Rental Agreement.

3. Surrey Bookings and Payments

Bookings can be made through our website, by phone, or in person at our Surrey location. A booking deposit may be required to secure your reservation. Full payment and a security deposit are normally due when the vehicle is collected. All prices are in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable.

4. Surrey Vehicle Collection and Return

For rentals in Surrey, you must inspect the vehicle thoroughly at collection and report any existing damage immediately. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed. Return the vehicle in the same condition as collected, allowing for normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be assessed and charged accordingly.

5. Insurance and Liability (Surrey)

Basic third-party insurance is included with all Surrey rentals. Full coverage details and applicable excess amounts are set out in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be available to reduce your financial liability. We recommend reviewing these carefully. 7. Surrey Prohibitions

You must not use a Surrey vehicle for:

Use for any illegal purpose or activity in Surrey. Racing, rallying, off‑road events, or other hazardous activities. Transporting hazardous or dangerous materials or goods. Sub-letting to third parties or allowing drivers who are not authorised. Operating the vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs. Use for purposes for which the vehicle was not designed.

Violating these restrictions may result in immediate Surrey-account termination and additional charges.

8. Limitation of Surrey's Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by English and Welsh law, Surrey will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, including loss of profits, loss of data or loss of business, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the total fees paid by you to Surrey in the twelve months immediately preceding the event that gave rise to the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.

9. Governing Law (Surrey)

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, with proceedings permitted to take place in Surrey courts.

10. Changes to Surrey Terms

Surrey may modify these Terms at any time. Changes become effective immediately upon posting on Surrey's website. Your continued use of Surrey's services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
